Privacy
This page explains what personal information the Persian Business Club (PBC) collects when you book an event on this site, why we collect it and what we do with it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect
- Your details: name, email address and mobile number when you book.
- Guest details: the name, and optionally the email, of each person a ticket is for.
- Your booking: the event, tickets, amount paid, order number and whether a ticket has been checked in at the door.
- Your choice about event news: whether you asked us to email you about future events, and when.
We do not see or store your card details. Payments are processed by Stripe, which handles your card information under its own privacy policy.
Why we collect it
- To issue and email your tickets and to check them at the door.
- To contact you about an event you booked, for example if the time or venue changes.
- To process refunds and keep the financial records the law requires.
- To keep one record per person, so we know who has attended PBC events over time.
- To send you news about future events, only if you asked us to.
Who we share it with
We never sell your information. We share it only with services that help us run bookings:
- Stripe, to take payments and process refunds.
- Our email provider, to send your tickets and booking emails.
- Our hosting provider, which stores the booking database.
Some of these providers may store data outside Australia. We choose providers that protect personal information to a standard comparable to Australian law. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Event news
If you tick “Email me about future PBC events” at checkout, we may send you occasional emails about upcoming events. You can stop them at any time by replying to one of those emails or writing to us. Booking emails about an event you bought tickets for are sent either way.
Cookies
The public pages of this site do not use advertising or tracking cookies. A cookie is used only to keep PBC staff signed in to the admin area.
How long we keep it
We keep booking records for as long as we need them to run events and meet our accounting and legal obligations, then delete or anonymise them.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Write to admin@persianbusinessclub.com.au and we will respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle a privacy concern, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
